    I admire dragonfly shots but am totally clueless as to how to get them. But it must be extra difficult to get shots like these of them in flight. Are you locking them on autofocus or shooting bursts?

    I also enjoyed the last one, once I noticed more than the top dragonfly.

    It takes some patience to get them in hover mode. I usually center AF point and fast frame rate. If you watch them long enough they will fly in somewhat of a pattern and catch them when they are at a point where they stop for a second. Having a fast focusing internal motor lens helps these were shot with a nikon 200mm f2 with 1.7 teleconverter. Dragonfly were about 4-5 ft away. I would shoot at dragonflies while waiting for birds to fly by.
