That's very cool. I'm not sure I like the outer glow, though. Maybe try darkening the background a bit instead if you are trying to improve the separation of the kid. Or just tone down the glow a bit and spread it over a larger radius.

I have had alot of fun doing posters for some of the baseball kids I photographed this summer. This is a wonderful job. I would, however, like to see the space on the left filled with something. Maybe even bring the background image up a little. I still like it though. Except for the school of course.:D

I agree with Richard on the outer glow around the boy...personally I find it a little distracting but otherwise I think the shot is great.
