Trouble uploading images

I'm new to SmugMug. I'm having issues uploading images. Most of the images upload except for a few.

First, it is frustrating that the simple uploader doesn't indicate these errors.

Second, I purchased a Vault and this has not resolved the issue. I asked support why this was and received the following response:


My guess is it made the attempt to resize the image so it could be displayed instead of vaulting it directly. And the resize failed so it threw back the error on the file and discarded it. Our system was just trying to get the photo available to be viewed but couldn't. I hope this helps clarify things some. If we can do anything else for you please let us know.

Has anyone else had this trouble and could someone explain to me how the vault is to be used if SmugMug doesn't automatically filter photos to the Vault based on file size.
