I really like this. The fighter on the left conveys such a sense of power and strength -- the other guy doesn't stand a chance (having said this, I hope he prevailed ne_nau.gif ).

    Thank you x3.

Yes, I'm shooting through a fence.

Lens- this shot was taken with a Tamron 28-75 on an XTi- neither body nor lens would I particularly recommend for the job, but seeing as how it's what I had at the time, I made the most of it.

The other guy not only stood a chance, he won MMA Worldwide's "Submission of the Year" for 2007- It's Brad Imes of The Ultimate Fighter fame, winning the match with BJJ hold, the Gogoplata:

First shot is great - especially cosidering the limitations of the gear you were using. Nicely done.

Curious... How much noise removal do you do? You have some great shots on your site, but some of the fighters look "smooth" and have lost some definition on their bodies...maybe just me tho! By the way I Googled fight pics yours came up, then lead me to this site thumb.gif

    Cheers

Noise reduction- I usually just go in and knock out the chromatic noise; in the second shot I didn't do any NR.

Settings- this was a particularly well light event, and I was a little green at the time, but I think I shot at iso 400 @ f/2.8, 1/250. Normally, unless I'm outside, I shoot at iso 1600 for most events, and sometimes 3200.
