I will be driving to Montreal from Norfolk the second week of October and wonder if anyone can recommend some wildlife and scenic locations. bsvirginian@gmail.com
I recommend Lake Willoughby in Vermont. My family has vacationed there every summer for generations and it is truly an amazing sight. It is a glacier lake with large mountains on either side.

Woodstock Vermont is another nice area. Great looking landscapes and small town feel.
If you are looking for moose there is some great areas near Berlin, NH. If you are in the area any of the locals can point you in the right direction.
