Went to a new location in the North Cascades for sunset this weekend. Anderson Butte is located above the east shoreline of Baker Lake and along the border of the lesser known Noisy-Diobsud Wilderness. It offers prominant views of Mount Baker, Mount Shuksan and numerous other peaks within the North Cascades.

If that wasn't enough, the huckleberries were ripe and everywhere. Phenominal place that I'll certainly be back to..

2. Moonrise. This is a blend of two exposures (one for foreground, one for moon)

3. Mount Baker remained mostly obscured. Here are the Black Buttes & the Squak Glacier through a break in the clouds

#4 is my favorite. It is just beautiful. It looks like a painting with all the detail in the mountain and the color is lush!

great stuff, Steve. i was up that way yesterday myself, but didn't go as far as Baker Lake... went up the Nooksack River road instead. what lens were you using to get such a close shot of Shuksan?

Thank you both for the comments...

Rocky, the shot of Mt Shuksan was with my 55-300mm lens @ 300mm. I have a 1.5x crop sensor on my Pentax so it's a 450mm shot.
