New Stuff Question

When I click the "New Stuff" link to get a listing of new threads, etc should my own new posts show? I posted a new thread in the "People" forum today (28 Sep) at ~12:12am EST but when I look in the New Stuff list, it doesn't appear where it should among the other posts. :cry Am I missing something? Any insight would be appreciated.
Thanks!

p.s. Forgot to add that after you have clicked on and viewed a 'new stuff' thread, if you 'refresh' the 'new stuff' you can no longer see that thread...I know this sounds confusing! But other viewers who haven't viewed it can still see the thread until they, too, have viewed it. (Gotta be a better way to explain this! !)
Probably not*.
If your computer dgrin cookies indicate you have read the last page of a thread, it will internally mark the thread as "read" and will not show up in New Stuff until a new post is placed in that thread. So, no, it won't show there for you if you just posted to it.
*An exception, and a bug in the current forum software, is that if you place a new post in a thread and that post lands on a new page (is the first on a new page added), it will show in your New Stuff. If you then re-read the end of that thread (including your new post), it will mark the thread as "read" and won't show in New Stuff.
