A few snaps of my sister last night:

Bit of a rushed job as she needed them by today and one of my flash triggers had died but I think they're reasonable.
All shot just with a 430EXII through a translucent brolly.

C&C very welcome.
Chris.

I just had to smile: "reasonable" he said...WOW, these are just fantastic! She surely must be a model! (or should be!). GREAT capture!

Beautiful shots of a beautiful lady. My only nit is in the last one, her one foot looks a bit distorted...almost like a "giant" foot.

15524779-Ti.gif I think her whole body is distorted in the last one, not only her legs, it seems like every body part is at a weird angleheadscratch.gif

Some really nice captures....great composition and lighting...I'd love to see them a bit large for more perspective. I could definitely pictures some of these in a magazine ad. Also if you wouldn't mind sharing your setup for the last shot. What lens did you use? 17-40? Thanks

That's exactly why I would call the last one my favorite of the series.

Yeah it was the 17-40L on my 30D at f13 ISO 200.
Lighting setup was a 430EXII at 1/2 power through a translucent 20" brolly high above camera and slightly round to the right, pointing down.

Post was just a little bit of level correction and burning out a bit of distracting background followed by my high-pass skin mask technique.

You can see bigger ones on my flickr but here's the one that seems to be a bit marmite:

Beautiful sister and great model. I have a nit with the third one. The position of the leg and the lighting make her thigh look hug in portion to the rest of here. I have to agree about the shoe too but feel the type of shoe to the rest of the attire put that a little more in perspective. I know how particular women are about their legs, not wanting to thunder thighs or elephant calves/ankles that the third shot make me more conscious of those elements when setting up a shot.
