Fellow Dgrinner Scott (Trasmc) and I shot the most unbelieveable wedding two weeks ago. Have you ever had a wedding you just felt super lucky to have been a part of it? That was this wedding....hope you enjoy the images a fraction as much as we enjoyed creating them.

2. Sometimes you have to put your life on the line for a great shot...
3. Scott captured my reaction of almost getting run over by the FOTG in his giant pickup...poor guy didn't have a CLUE I was in his tractor barn until it was almost too late. Nor could I really get him to understand WHY.
4. The bride and groom were *the coolest* people ever. this of the bride getting ready..'Nuff said.

Thank you Dave I strive for consistency within BW and Color images throughout a set. But am finding recently with outdoor hard light weddings, sometimes you have to have a few approaches in your arsenal to get that "summery" feeling overall. don't know if that makes sense or not.
It is nice to get a bit of a breather and visit you fine folks...have missed being around! Thanks for commenting!

REALLY fun set. You made me wish I was there! And I have been to a wedding or two!
In #3, I so understand attempting to explain what you are doing and getting nowhere.. I had a wedding this summer where I had set up a detail shot in a grungy garage with sweet light, and all I had on me was my long lens so I had to stand back and everyone kept coming and asking what in the world I was shooting "in the nasty garage". Glad you lived through your experience!
As always: A set and photographer to look up to. Lynne you are incredible!

you're too kind...
I've found the weddings and clients themselves tend to dictate the level (or lack of) "brilliance" as you say. The one-location wedding days are so freeing. On top of clients who really don't care for posed shots and allow me to just document and capitalize on inspiration as it unfolds, rather than "on command".
This past weekend (not this wedding) we had a wedding that was much more traditional - three shooting locations, traditional indoor church ceremony, typical reception. Maybe 5 shots of 2000 I'm actually proud of. All the schedule juggling really zaps my creative juices, so I am in awe to folks who can push through that (pat furey comes to mind).
What are your guys' thoughts on this?

All true in my opinion.
Screw "the list"......toss it away. If you "like what I do" then let me do what I do!:D
Oh.....and I uh.....think your tractor is sexy!
