Canon EOS 7D - first ones
I was in the middle of the important conference call when I heard a familiar sound of a UPS truck stopping next to my driveway. And sure, there it was:
#1: From the great Canon, through awesome guys of Tallyn, via friendly Brown:
#2: Another look (these first two pics are taken with 5D2 and 100mm):
#3: Now, how hoes it work in the dark? 7D + 50/1.4 (ISO3200, f/9, 1/60)
#4: Outdoors, same old 50/1.4:
#5: I was so happy that I totally forgot it take more than EF lenses. So I hurries back home, snapped on 17-55 and took a bracketed shoot (those 8fps due sound nice). This is one of the middle ones:
There will be more.. Now I'm back to setting up, reading the manual, etc.
Here's the album, originals enabled:

I just got mine all charged up and am really loving the sweet sound of 8fps :-)
Now I need to get out of the office and go find something to shoot.

It's only been 15 minutes as I sit down with it, so please understand that it's way not enough for a deep analysis. I just glanced over the menu system and filled up the User menu with my "standard issue" items. Didn't even get to all the Custom functions yet.
If there is one word I had to use to describe it it would be "DECISIVENESS".
- On-off switch almost impossible to trip by mistake;
- The accentuate grip helps to hold the body better;
- The mode dial is identical to 5D2 and holds each mode firmly;
- The CF bay door opens and closes like one from a bomb shelter, leaving no hints that it can open all by itself;
- New viewfinder (with the grid if you want it) feels very... futuristic
- Menu was reorganized in a better way (still following the 1D/40D/50D/5D2 pattern)
- The electronic "level" will make sure your horizon is leveled (no need for funky acrylic thingie taking your hot-shoe)
- The new LiveView/Video mode button doesn't get in a way, but obviously is there when you need it.
More later!M

Man, I'm a Nikon shooter and this camera sounds drool worthy! Hope all the White-Lens lovers are enjoying this!
Sigma 18-50 f/2.8, 70-200 f/2.8
Nikkor 55-200mm f/4-5.6, 50mm f/1.8
I kinda had the TFM part, almost. Thanks for the link. That saddens me that that is on wikipedia.

I like it a lot. Time to sell some older cameras and find a second 7D.

My big shoot will be on Thursday...
Yes, but 1.6 vs. full frame with larger pixels.

I also like the grid lines in the viewfinder, plus the built in level.
I need to get used to where the delete button is vs the play button. I wish the play button was on the bottom of the row. I'll probably get used to it with time.

Canon EOS 7D + 100-400 x TC1.4, shooting stand, IR release, Av, manual focus in Live View.
I assume that means ACR 5.x but not 4.x...right?
Congrats !
