Flying into the sunset

I hitched a ride flying in the sunset magic hour in a little aeroplane with my landscape lenses today :D

    How did you avoid the tint that normally comes from the windows of small planes? Was it just the low light let you luck out? Those are excellent shots.

    Low light, clean canopy and sticking the camera as close to the plexiglass as possible all help. Some (the first one at least) I was able to shoot through a little flap that opens, just being very careful about sticking the lens into 100+ mph wind. I didn't use lens hoods.

    I haven't tried opening that little window. Usually, if I'm shooting pictures, I'm not near that window (as your picture shows, it's on the far side of the pilot). When I am near that window, I'm the pilot and won't shoot picts.

    Interesting approach though. I just need to put a co-pilot in the other seat so I can try your method. :D
