Went to the park and found 4 young swallows sitting on a small table.
Every few minutes, an adult would fly in and drop off some food.

Canon 300D with a Sigma 80-400os.

If only I'd been at 300mm instead of 400mm.

Not as good, but it was interesting that the adult had 2 insects.

Thanks for looking.

Just great! In our garden this kind of scene happens every morning and evening, but I never managed to capture it like you did. Great pictures Dave, thanks for posting these! thumb.gif

I knew, of course, that trees and plants had roots, stems, bark, branches and foliage that reached up toward the light. But I was coming to realize that the real magician was light itself.

    Super great shots, Dave!

Enjoyed seeing the dragonfly of our photos casually eaten by a baby bird.

    Thanks folks.

I was able to watch for about 10-15 minutes at a distance of about 8 feet away.
At that point one of the parents started dive bombing me, so I figured I should
leave. With 4 of them, it was a guessing game which one was going to get the
food. The adult never landed. They were more like fly-byes.
It was something new for me to watch.

    Thanks again.

    dave.

    P.S.
    I forgot this one earlier.

Excellent shots Dave. I've been seeing some good shots with that lens.

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"
