Some nice captures. Parents and players should love your shots.

Observation: Color in first is shifted toward red. Maybe this is desired skin tone, but now her uniform color is very different shade than all her teammates in the other shots.

    Thanks for sharing.

    Nice job, Tim.

I love the backgrounds you were blessed with at this field. My last two weekends were soccer shoots in the rain. The weather can make for some fun photos.

Nice sportraits!! I was cracking up over the caption above. My son played in a hockey game the other night and they won 10-0. Same thing, pass 5 times before shooting, only shots from the blue line, kids switched sticks (righties played with lefties sticks and vice versa). It makes for a long game.

I like # 1 even with the net in front. I feel it captures a player's character.

#2 has nice color and beautiful clarity but lacks any interesting features( an expression, a play or something , it's not a portrait and not an action shot. It leaves me wanting.

#3 The color and clarity are magnificent and the shot takes advantage of highlighting her captivating eyes. I like it, it has a purpose.

#4 Sqinting and slightly washed out. It does not do anything for me.

#5 Only one girl is in focus and the lighting is all over the place. Nice composition but not a keeper IMHO

#6 Love it! Everything works. Nice comp, great focus and clarity. This is a keeper!

#7 Nice composition and great background. Is it my old eyes or is her face out of focus? Light is a bit flat and may need more contrast.

#8 Live this one too. Everything works. Again, is it my eyes or is the background a bit noisy. The DOF looks tight but it seems like the background is speckled.

    Some great captures here.

Well that's some great inspiration for shooting this weekend--terrific shots! I'm guessing those were all with your 300 2.8? I think the clarity in all the shots is great, and I really like the interest factor on the first one with the mix of the lighting and the net--nice picture!
