Got to spend the weekend in St. Augustine this past week. I love that city so much (my favorite get away destination). I don't think I will ever get sick of it.
1. The building architecture is amazing. This was shot looking straight up with zoom maxed out to 200mm. Even then I had to tightly crop it in PP to get the shot I was hoping for:
2. I swear every old city of visit has some sort of "clock" in it's downtown square:
3. I have to admit, this was really a bad shot prior to PP. Everything was dark and dull. I hope I didn't go to far in PP on it. I still wish I could have brought out more detail in the gazebo:
4. For some reason this one amuses me. The mannequin looked so real and life sized at first glance:
5. My favorite shot of the whole weekend. I could sit and look at the water all day. I just like the way the blues popped in the pic:
6. My husband was partial to the British soldier reinactments at the Old Fort. This was a bonus shot for sure...didn't even realize that the guy looks like he is "pouting" until PP:
7. I had a lot of problems with my night photography. Didn't have a good low light lens with me. Did the entire trip with my 18-200mm Nikkor, since it was new and wanted to try it out. But, I am just not skilled enough with my settings to get good nighttime shots, I'm afraid. That is something I will be working on in the future. That being said, I thought this shot came out cool. Not perfect by any means, but I liked the colors in it. Very unusual effects:
The entire series, if anyone is interested is at:

Thanks Bridget. The last one was signage at the Conch House Restaurant. Just outside for the city, going towards St. Augustine Beach. Really good food!
