Concept for DSS#34

Here's the idea I'm exploring this weekend. I'm working on a laptop, so final processing will have to wait until tomorrow night. Right now I'm more concerned about subject and composition. All C&C is not only wanted but needed.

    Hmm... I'd almost say it's cropped too tight, and needs some more context to make it identifiable.

    Initially I thought it was a hat!

    It is upside down, but I think you can explore more angles on it to make it more interesting. Good luck with you 'model'.

    Thanks for the comments everyone! This was laying in among many other dinghies and kayaks so it was hard to get any better angles on it. It also is not my boat so I really couldn't move it around. All of the other shots had really cluttered backgrounds. Here's what I ended up entering.
