Thanks for all the comments.
I was there in vacation, of course. The place is a resort located some 40 miles to the north of Salvador. The weather there is great al the year (sometimes heavy rain but shortly... the sun uses to shows up in a question of minutes). The food ...well it is Brazil and the food is delightful! Hiring a car is highly recommended to go along the coast and also deep inside the State (Bahia). It´s mandatory to spend one or two days visiting the historical part of Salvador. There, attention must be taken to the organized crime but, its colonial architecture is awesome.
