Shot this with a Canon 50D, 24-70mm f/2.8, 430EX II fired into an unbrella using a pocketwizard on the right side and another umbrella on the left side with a 100 watt fill light.

Great detail! In the 2nd shot I almost thought that it was a REAL baby for a second! Cute shot!

Hi. I didn't pull up the exif but is underexposed by about 3/4 of a stop. You'll also notice when color corrected the eyes and skin tones will be more pleasing. Setting a custom color balance at capture will really help with this issue. Gelling the flash to the color temp of the 100 watt light will make this process easier as well.

nice. I agree, the eyes make or break a sharp shot. but the first image is not a crop from the second image, right?

Awsome shot. It looks like the reflections show two umbrella stands with portable strobes. The one camera left was a bit further back. You can even see the ceiling fan reflecting in the eye as well. This is cool, I think I'm going to have to try it.

I agree with Swartzy that they are underexposed and the colors are a bit off. As far as composition, I prefer the second one. The first one is nice, but it's "just" an eye, if you know what I mean. I actually quite like the comp, with the light, chair, basket and blinds. There seem to be a bit much of the blinds, but cropping them would mean you would have to get rid of part of the lamp as well, and I like it in there thumb.gif
