Howdy All,

Posted this one in Cool shots where I put most of my IR's but thought I'd post this here as well.

I have to say it's one of my most prized shots, and we had such a wonderful time in Cape Breton, Nova Scotia. Just such a wonderful getaway with wonderful scenery, history, and People..

We were about 50' feet from her, she was just off the Trail, never made a move or paid any attention to Us whatsoever.

Needless to say, we were just so excited as we'd never seen a Moose, and now here she was so close.
Take care,

Craig

Cool shot. You must have caught her sleeping. Good thing she didn't wake up! I heard they can be pretty ornery at times.

    Howdy Kevin,

    Thanks for the kind reply.

She was awake, but kept and eye on us, on our way back we found out why, her calf had been on the other side of the trail and it was now with her.

They are pretty docile there, I guess used to seeing hikers, or figured as out of breath as I was I wasn't a threat:D We'd been warned about their strength, speed, and agility.

We were just stunned at seeing her, epecially in her habitat.

    Thanks again.
    Take care,

Very neat shot. I can understand your being thrilled to see one.
Years ago I woke up to a big bull moose sitting on my driveway in town . It was literally sitting like a dog looking down the driveway like "now what do I do" The fish and game came, tranquilized it and gave it ride back home lol

    Howdy,

Thanks very much, that is just too much, it's nice that they gave him a ride back home. That must have been such a surrealistic sight to see him sitting there.

My Wife and I felt so fortunate to see this one, and the others. We'd looked and looked at the Teton's and saw one late in the evening, where we could just barely make it out.
    Take care,
