Shot some club soccer this weekend. Mid day sun unfortunately but tried to make the best of it.

This last collision had the goalie carted off in an ambulance.

Any CC is always welcome.

Good action and nice job for harsh sunlight.

And this last shot makes me, the mother of two goal keepers, cringe. When I'm behind the camera, I can usually keep quiet, but if the ref can't control the play and allows the opposing team to cream the keepers, I kind of loose it a bit, especially when the ref appears oblivous to the foul rolleyes1.gif Hope he was ok...

Thanks, It's worse than you think. Check these other pics out.

I don't know if you can tell the size of the white player. He was HUGE for a 15 yr old. Maybe 6' 4" or more. He collided with this goalie( who is kind of small). This resulted in a red card. Then we learned that he had quite a temper too.671788177_jGyGU-L.jpg

He tried to grab the red card and had to be escorted off of the field. Look at his size relative to the ref.

On the other end. Below is the actual collision. The poor kid was in so much pain that he passed out a couple of times due to the pain. It turned out to be a very bad Charlie horse and a bruised bone. Luckily no kids were seriously hurt in the making of this tie game.670709817_vutYa-L.jpg

Very nice shots. I'm trying to figure out where you were located when you made the shots of the goal. To the side? Or were you using a very long lens?

    Thanks...

Thanks, I don't remember where the thread is ( that talks about this), but, I found myself looking instead of shooting on a number of occasions. I had been shooting Kiteboarding all summer and only got a few soccer games in. Shows you how quickly you can get out of practice shooting a sport.

    Awesome action shots.

Thanks. I know we are always our own worst critic but, I still cringe when I see these shots because of the lousy exposures I got.
