Questions:
1. What lens did you use? I see in your sig you list the 24-70 but these appear wider than that(on the D300) but it may just be my eyes fooling me.
2. Do you tend to follow the rider out of the bowl and shoot or do you pre focus on the area you anticipate them coming out?

Yes your right its not a 24-70mm well except for one of the pics. I actually used a 10.5 mm fisheye for most of the shots.
What i do is follow the rider out fo the bowl. I really dont do prefocus because there is no communication between the rider and I so I have no idea which part of the bowl he/she is going to come out of.

I totally agree with fisheyes being over-used especially with skate photos. But I knew I was shooting this event in a bowl so I decided to rent one. Im kinda glad i did since i was kinda getting sick of using my 24-70mm for everything.
