Saw a few kids playing at the BMX track this weekend - they loved playing for the camera (all straight from the camera, D90 with 18-200vr lens):

    I'm liking #3 a lot, with the orange hat. Were you using flash?

    I think #1 and #2 could have benefited from some fill flash. Not crazy about the cropping either. Maybe try a portrait crop?

    SS too high. A little wheel blur would help.

    Smart - I didn't think of using the flash at the time. Will remember that for next time. As for cropping, these are straight out of the camera. I'll have a play with cropping them thumb.gif

    Their bodies and clothing were moving so much, I found with lower SS it was hard to keep them sharp. Any suggestions? ear.gif
