Lightroom "smart" collection not updating

2 days ago I created a Smart collection that's supposed to hold pictures taken in the last 3 days.
Today I view this collection again, and it has not updated. It's still showing a collection of pictures taken 3 days before the collection was created, not 3 days before TODAY. what did i do wrong?
