I love those 'enchanted forest' looking shots. So peacefull. And your sunset's execelent. Nothing like these mountians. iloveyou.gif

I'm unfamilier with Andrew's Bald. Where's it at?

That is beautiful, can you get any more definition in the trees in the foreground. It is very similar to a shot in a CS2 tutorial thumb.gif

Thanks! You just gotta love the Southern Appalachians!
Andrews Bald is on Forney Ridge Trail. The trail begins at the Clingman's Dome Parking Area, right behind the drinking fountain. Head downhill for 2 miles and you're there. Of course the hike back to the car is 2 miles uphill and at elevations above 6000 feet.
If you hurry the Flame Azaleas and Catawba Rhododendrons should still be in bloom for another week, here's a preview of what you can see...

I'm considering heading that direction tomorrow. Ooooo, man I want to. Weather's supposed to be awesome, and I've not spent a full day on the moto in a few weeks. Gotta see if I can get away with it!! umph.gifrolleyes1.gif

At around 4000 ft on alot of the mountains here we dont have tree's anymore! And the rainforest look usually goes at about 2000-3000ft.

    Hey Shaman
The first shot once again gives a feeling of being there, dank and teaming with life. And I really like the warm tones and comp on the second. Very nice! thumb.gif

    Wonderful shots
Both pics are so different and I still can't pick a favorite. Do you have any other pictures from Andrew's Bald, GSMNP? I'm planning a trip there and I'm looking for some ideas.
