Ok, so I just got home from almost-two-weeks in the mountains. I figured if I spent two weeks up there, it can't be crappy weather ALL the time, right?
So I came home early today at the first break in the clouds that I'd seen since Tuesday. The weather sucks. So badly in fact that I learned a man died of exposure just over a ridge from my camp sometime during the weekend. I didn't get in much climbing at all, but I did take some pics, so here's a couple of the good ones for the world to peruse:

Camp, and one of the awesomest ones I've had the pleasure of sitting out the rain in. Photo taken soon after I got there, when there was still sun.

Looking down at the sixth and last climb I did, last Friday. That's AKDirtbag on the belay.

James (akdirtbag) follows free up what I aided. A fun route either way!

Somebody had a bad couple of days. One guy made it out alive, the other didn't. This chopper flew around all Sunday and Monday looking for them.

The rock did dry off momentarily Monday. Here's Todd:

And Todd's wife, Libby, engaged in a chalk fight.

And last of all, Jeff. These two guys work problems I don't even see.

That was a great set of photo's mate, am glad you were still able to get a few days climbing in. Either way getting into the great outdoors is still better than spending it behind a desk!.
    Keep the cool shots rolling.
    May I take your picture?

    Great series thumb.gif

I haven't been climbing since my early 20's, aka before I got married :) but none of the landscape was as spectacular as this (or as chilly).

I'm as jealous as someone who's really jealous.

Agree with all my predecessors (except the ones that say they were previously engaged in such actions mwink.gif )!

Thanks for the replies all. For those interested enough, here's a few links to local news reports on the two hikers who got lost, leading to the death of one of them. The site wants you to register, sadly, but it's free.

Just a bit more evidence to support being prepared out there. ne_nau.gif
