All you need is a cheap video camera and an entry level DSLR!

Do you think this was sub-contracted out?

Sure, anyone can be a wedding photog. It's all in the level of quality you want. I had a sign hanging for a while that said it all.

"Quality is like buying oats. If you want nice clean fresh oats you have to pay a fair price.

If you can deal with oats that have already been through the horse, well that comes a bit cheaper!"

The video didn't say how much he charged initially, but dang that was bad.

I honeslty hope not... I still remember my own wedding ( years ago ) the photographer got so drunk, that ruined most of the pictures he took :(

Perhaps we had the same photographer? I have only 2-3 pics of my wedding!

I believe the BBC website quoted 1400 or so in british pounds. so about $2500-$3000.

I am suprised that a photographer would still charge them after that debacle. Also to shoot such horrid video, I wonder if he did all the video of the wedding with a point and shoot? The quality seems outrages.

For those who do shoot video at weddings, what quality of camera have you used?

Seriously, if that had been my work, I would have been tempted to tell the couple the data was lost and refund their money. I can't believe the photographer would actually present that crap.

Go for it! I've used it for years to shut people up. Another good one is,

We offer three levels of service. Good, fast, cheap. You can pick two.

It can be good and fast, but it won't be cheap.
