Has anyone shot Lacross before?

I've been thinking about shooting for my friends lacross team...
Would anyone like to share your Lacross shots? just so i can use it as a point of reference (I don't know the game at all...)

hey.. lacrosse! I get to take some lacrosse pictures this weekend in SFO. Brown vs UNC. woohoo.

I'm not as good as the other guys, so here's my tips:

Don't stand where you can get hit by the ball, especially if you don't know the game. Personally, being a coward, I never sit behind the face of the net.

Try to get the ball and the faces to show in the picture.

The game is fast, so use a fast shutter speed.

Then practice a lot. After you've watched the game for a while and looked at the other guys' pictures, you'll figure out what's interesting.

Hi vaio2006,

I have some lacross shots on my web site in the sports folder.

There is alot of action so you have to be ready at all times to get that special shot. What camera & lens do you plan to use?

I've only shot a couple of games - high school JV and varsity. It didn't take me long to get tired trying to walk up and down the field to keep up with the action. So I kinda camped out in one area along the sideline and let them come to me. It worked out pretty well, but I probably could have done better with a little more practice.
