This project was interrupted when I broke my femur. I'll have to revisit next summer.

#2 looks straight out of Life magazine. I love how she's placed on the left and the bread serves as the "empty space". Beautiful composition.

    These are wonderful!!

Hope you do get back to the project.

More importantly, I hope the leg is healing well.

Wait, you broke your femur? That's pretty impressive - that's one solid bone.

I like the second one the best of the bunch. The others look like they could use a touch more focus. Looking forward to seeing more... and to hoping that you're well on your way to recovery!

Can't wait to see more - this is really terrific stuff - definitely "LIFE-like."

But all you commentors are nuts - while 2 is a nice shot, nicely composed, #3 is far and away the best of the bunch. There is the kind of every day moment we never shoot! That captures children and childhood universally in a way the pap we are normally treated to never begins to! clap.gifclap.gifclap.gifclap.gifclap.gifclap.gifclap.gifclap.gifclap.gifclap.gifclap.gifclap.gifclap.gifclap.gifclap.gifclap.gifwings.gifwings.gifwings.gifclap.gifclap.gif

Thanks, B.D. That's what I think, too, though I fought it at first. I wanted more better shots of the Jamaican ladies who run the very Yankee bake shop. But the children who swarm all over the place are scene stealers. And it took me a little go get over that motion blur.

But by the time I posted it, I thought it was the best one.
