Here's a collection of links that may be of interest to Street and PJ photographers. Please note that this is an open thread, and you are strongly encouraged to add your own suggestions by replying to this post. From time to time, I will edit the thread and move the best suggestions into the first post.

So many great photographers fall into this genre. It's hard not to miss some great ones:
Bruce Davidson, Dorthea Lange, Walker Evans.
In fact, any of the Magnum photographers is worth a good look. Being accepted by Magnum is sort of the closest thing there is to winning a Nobel Prize for photography.
Damon Winter was last year's Pulitzer winner in photography for his coverage of Obama's campaign in The New York Times. If you want to see some beautiful contemporary color examples of the PJ genre, take a look.
Mike Johnston's The Online Photographer is one of my favorite sites. Though Mike's team can get technical and gearhead-like now and then, the underlying orientation is on pure photographic practice.
On Sunday there was a thread relevant to "Street & PJ" shooting that calls attention to where you gotta be to get the shot. A great read.

Maybe we can get this sticky and we can build a list.

Thanks for putting these up, I can see me getting lost on those for a while.
There's already a sticky at the top of the forum, "Tips, Threads and Inspirations." Maybe you can add your links to that thread. It already has some resources.
Right you are, Jenn. I merged these posts into that thread. Thanks for the links, Mike and Duke.
Some really nice work there.

www.bbc.co.uk/blogs/photoblog/2010/10/street_photography_... Lots of shots and text from those involved in authoring/publishing the Street Photography Now book and in setting up this project.
www.amazon.co.uk/Street-Photography-Now-Sophie-Howarth/dp... a link to a copy of the SPN book which is an excellent survey of current street photography with some historical context, too. The book also mentions the "street still life" form of photo which isn't covered in the 2point8 blurb.
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Street_photography gotta have wiki in there
www.in-public.com/information/what_is From In-Public a key collective of current street photogs, their site is well worth bookmarking and browsing a lot to get a feel for this kind of work.
www.nickturpin.com/work/street - current street photographer working in London and contibutor to the Street Photography Now book. Nick is a key voice in promoting street photography in recent years, and is an excellent practitioner of the art form. He's written a lot about street photography, so googling for that stuff would prove very insightful.
Welcome to Dgrin If you're looking for comments and feedback, it's probably better not to overwhelm the audience, so one at a time would be best. Many people here include links to their galleries in their signatures. You can also include a URL in your member profile.
