I know everyone uses CS$ now but money for this is abit tight so i would liek to get CS3. Is this the way to go ot LR2 would be better..I really and truly dont want to upgrade for a while..say for about a couple of years

Lightroom2 is basically a global editor and image storing and retrieving program. Photoshop 3 or 4 are pixel wrangling image editors, used if you need selections and local editing. (I am aware of the adjustment brushes in Lightroom2, but I prefer doing my local editing with Photoshop.)

SO - are you content with global editing only, or do you need pixel wrangling?

I find I need both not infrequently. ne_nau.gif

If you shoot lots and lots of images, you may prefer Lightroom2. If you shoot fewer images, but edit them extensively with selections, PS will be the way to go.

Only you can decide your needs........
