CS4 Workspace stinks!?

I recently upgraded from Photoshop CS2 to CS4 and am wondering - is it just me? The new workspace layout drives me crazy and I feel like my mouse clicks have doubled because of it. I realize that I can - almost! - simulate the CS2 workspace, but somehow it doesn't work quite as well. Dropdown Menus don't extend all the way unless prompted. Panels don't stay open. Adjustment Layers I decide not to use nevertheless remain. Right-clicking on the title bar for image or canvas size or duplication does no longer work. Neither does right-clicking the picture to edit image info.

It really drives me nuts and I'm thinking that I must be missing something. Can anyone recommend a good tutorial for the new CS4 Workspace?

I have just switched from a PC to a Mac and am having some similar difficulties with things not working the way they did on the PC. I am also integrating Lightroom into my work flow which at this point is a challenge.

Overall I look at the very real gains being made and understand there will be an adjustment phase. I find each day the new stuff is fast becoming the familiar, and the old is fading.

Photography, new software, and life are all about pluses, minuses and change.

There is no requirement to participate.
