Came across this dad and toddler in the park. He, sitting on a bench, and she standing in front lecturing on some unknown topic. Though he was trying quite hard, he obviously was having a hard time understanding her. I think the first (cropped) image is a better composition than #2 but would like your opinion.

    I like the tighter crop. Too bad a little more of her face isn't visible, I'm sure she had a lot of earnest in what she was trying to explain...

    I prefer the uncropped version. Seeing more of the bodies seems to convey more of a sense of connection between the two. I barely noticed the pointing hand in the first version, but somehow it became more important in the second.

    I did the tighter crop to emphasize the quizzical expression on the father's face. The little girl's face and hair were extremely fair and required a lot of PP to bring out what little detail there was.
