Gallery thumbnail still using old photos

Is there a way to make the gallery thumbnail not show photos that were moved from that gallery to another gallery? I thought that it would just take some time to get updated, but it's still doing it almost a week later. It's happening in my Animal's gallery.

It looks like you have that gallery set to always use a specific photo for the thumb.
