A lovely pair of shield bugs!

Well, I had to resort to having the shield bugs on the leaves in the garden this evening as the sun was gone behind the houses and the light was fading fast and ended up having to resort to the flash by the end of the session.

The cool evening air contributed to the slower speed of the shield bugs, and they were a little more inclined to be motionless than skittish.

I think this is a really pleasing result on this under awkward conditions (half caused by trying to encourage them to approach each other rather than go in opposite directions!)

C&C gratefully received.
