I have read about this in posts a few times. I am not sure it makes a big difference or is just something to talk about.

Anyone know the native ISO for the Nikon 700?:scratch

Thanks

Roger

There are several ways of thinking about "native ISO". If you qualify the question to mean, "At what ISO is the noise level lowest and dynamic range highest?", the answer for the Nikon D700 would probably be around ISO 170 (RAW sensitivity measured using DXO), but you would set the camera at ISO 200. (Tonal range and color sensitivity also peak at the ISO 200 setting.)
