I had this in my original thread, but opened a new thread to try to get some more eyes and hopefully some solid criticism. Took the two images people liked best and threw in a reshoot. Have at it!

#2 Sketch (yes, this is a reshoot)

    #3.
Looking back at the crayons, there's too much detail there -- dust, little threads, that take away from the main subject idea. I'd go with your homage to Pablo Picasso.

I personally love the SP - no idea how it will strike the judges, but I think it's great idea, and just plain fun!

I love the detail in the crayons, but they don't do as much for me as the SP.

Yet again, I'm the odd man (girl?) out and like 'sketch' the best. :)

I like the focus on the line drawn with the crayon and that little bit of crayon-wax hanging onto the tip.

I am concerned that the SP needs too much specialized knowledge to make a strong entry, but what the hell. In honor of Pablo's home country, I shall go a-tiltin' at windmills. :D

Thanks to all for the feedback. thumb.gif

Snuck the "clues" into the keywords mwink.gifdeal.gif

    I'm sneaky that way.

I figured you might like the close up with the narrow depth of field. :D

The SP has grown on me - I like it best out of the three

Thanks. thumb.gif I don't think I have a snowball's chance this contest, but I had fun and learned a few things, esp. regarding the replace color tool ...

I actually thought of taking a picture of blue-dyed milk and eggs, and calling it "Breakfast at Beru's", but that might even be more obscure than the Picasso homage ... rolleyes1.gif
