We have this lens high on are list to aquire sometime in the next couple of months. Seems availability is an issue. Will this continue? Its expensive but suits are needs for our indoor rc racing. Any opinions from anyone who has one? I have read mostly positive feedback.

Thanks

from my research it is an spectcluar lens. It is 1 of 2 lens that thom hogan gives full 5 stars to.

Where does that come from? I do not see that lens among the lenses he has reviewed on his site.

From what I understand, the lens has a very high QC priority. 200mm f/2 is probably easy to F--- up in production.

just google thom hogan 200mm f2. The only 5 stars is that lens and the 14-24mm.

I have a friend that has one. I used it for a few shots. It's an amazing lens, but too heavy for me to handhold for long and too expensive.

Rent it and see what you think

It's supposed to be the pinnacle of low light, indoor performance for a zoom.

Er, Rookie, that's not the lens and it is not a zoom.
