Just a few pics of the area flamingos. Wonder if they would be blue if they ate blueberries? :D

    Bird pics
    Some really stunning images here.

I especially like the framing of a bird with the reflected clouds.

I love the lighting and color on the fourth picthumb.gif They are all great but that one is the best, IMHO.

Thanks folks. I wish I could find some of these birds in the "wild". Some of the pics need some PS work done to remove the marker bands on the legs. headscratch.gif

Very impressive set of shots you have there. Beautiful colors with good exposures in a tricky lighting situation. Well done! thumb.gif

Thanks Ginger. No...these are not in my backyard. :uhoh They are up the road a bit at a tourist trap known as "Sarasota Jungle Gardens". Neat place....but I hate the fact all the flamingos are tagged. umph.gif They do like to pose for you. If you notice......the first photo is taken from directly above the flamingo. That bird let me get right over top of him with my camera (Canon G2). He didn't even flinch. I practically bumbed into him/her. rolleyes1.gif My return visit was a nightmare. There was a school field trip and about 200 8yr olds were running wild in the place. It was very difficult shooting. No photog etiquette from 8 year olds (or most non photographers for that matter).

    Cheers
