A brannn new Canon 17mm Tilt/Shift lens on a 2000 model Canon 1ds, is like a F-18 lifting off with a Volkswagon engine:huh However, the results are spectacular.
THIS LENS ROCKS!
Dont look too close, this was taken late at night in the motel studio
Shooting the creek, I pulled out the new Canon 17mm Tilt/Shift and it quickly got attention from a guy leading another photography workshop. He asked me "Is that the new 17mm Canon lens", and I replied "yes".
After further examination, he asked me "what camera is that mounted on"
I told him, no lies, "that is the 11mp 1ds"
The sharpness of this lens is similar to what I experienced in the film days:barb
It was a wonderful experience meeting all of you on the 2009 Acadia Dgrin shootout. Cant wait to see all of you in Teton/Yellowstone next year!

Agree David duChemin likes to say, "Gear is good. Vision is better." This is a fine example of the two working well together.

Lots of desires
It was a real pleasure meeting you, Marc and Andy as well as all of the others of course.
My bum back and leg slowed me down immensely, but I still managed to learn a lot and had a fantastic time.
