A local photographer has just published a book about some of the hundreds of waterfalls that abound on the river systems in New Brunswick (yes, I did brag about my home province while we were in Bar Harbor!). His website (http://waterfallsnewbrunswick.ca/?page_id=965) includes details about locations, ratings and how to find them all. For those with an interest in waterfalls - worth a peek.:thumb:thumb

Snowgirl - Are you on Noels mailing list?
Yep! I took a photoshop course from him a couple of years ago. I'm located near Sussex. You?

I have been in Ottawa for 10 years, but grew up in Fredericton.
Took one of his workshops this fall in St Martins(NB) - good stuff. If Noel has something going on when I am home, I try to fit it in, excellent value.
Better half also did a Freeman Patterson workshop in St Jacques just last week. She is hooked, and wants us both to go the the FP workshop in St Martins next year.
St. Martins, the Fundy Trail and Fundy National Park are amazing sites. That's what I'm going to suggest for a Shootout Itinerary - with a side trip to Grand Manan Island - Seal Island for those who want to shoot Puffins and don't get seasick! (That lets me out!)
And I was hoping to talk Freeman into being a guest speaker for the group at some point. He's a neighbour.

My personal favourite is Hays Falls on the Maliseet Trail. It is my favourite place in the province, and just 45 min away from Freddy. I go there at least once per season, every year.

I've been reading this book from cover to cover and Guitard makes it easy to find whatever you want. He carefully rates each one on a number of criteria and also indicates whether the scene is on public or private land. He also rates the ease of access so you know whether it's a simple walk or you need to be a mountain goat to get there. VERY useful book and a permanent addition to my camera bag when I'm traveling around the province.
