One of my favorite subjects is faces with character...faces with lines, grooves, or features that set them apart from the average person. The best subjects are the very old and bikers.
Finding the very old is difficult. There aren't places where you can go and do candid snaps of the very old. You can't, for example, go to a retirement home or nursing home and lurk around poking a lens at them.
Bikers are easier. This area has many outdoor biker bars where you can snap away without being noticed. Most bikers seem to be exhibitionists, anyway, and don't object to being photographed if they do notice you.
The only problem with shooting the biker in his or her natural habitat is that they are more active in places and at times where the sun is harsh and faces tend to be shadowed.
