Just a couple from a trip last month. Beautiful animals and a beautiful spot in this country.
Sounds strange but I thought the eyes on this bull elk were stunningly beautiful.:huh
Same guy making sure his harem knew who was boss :rofl
As I was sitting quietly this guy decided to join me....fierce looking for sure.
All creatures great and small for sure...along the hike to Fairy Falls. Beautiful little guy huh?
This guy was so well hidden I could barely see him :rofl
Anyway, thanks for looking. It was a lot of fun.

As far as the Buff goes...manual focus to keep those grasses from stealing the show.

Yep Ric, lesson learned on that one...but I liked it
Scott they wander everywhere...yes still wander around Gardner for sure. People walking up to them like they were pets. Drove the Rangers nuts trying to keep everyone safe.
I really like the composition on the dragon fly. Did you jump off the trail to Fairy Falls and climb the hill to get some shots of Grand Prismatic?
What gear were you using? Your shots of the Elk are fantastic. That is one big bull elk! The only suggestion I have is to try a crop on the elk. See what it looks like because you definitely have the detail.
Thanks for sharing!

Thanks Shaun...yes I did climb and take the Grand Prismatic shots...they were fantastic. I'll try a crop on the elk I was shooting with a D300 and a Sigma 18-250. Thanks for the input. (The dragonfly shot was with my Canon G10)

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"
I can only aspire to shoot as well as you Harry. Your shots on SmugMug are amazing, just beautiful. Thank you for the encouragement.
