Just a few people shots from my recent trip to New York:

Police Officer in one of the staging areas for the Columbus Day Parade.

I really like this one, but the I think the focus lets it down. Operating a jackhammer at a construction site.

I'm not sure if this one works or not :dunno

In #2, I think I would have liked to see a little more of the construction context. I really like #3--the poster is gorgeous and the motion blur of the woman goes well with the money flying around. #4 is excellent...you really nailed the exposure in what must have been difficult light.

Let's ignore 1+2 - but 3+4? Terrific! 3 is really wonderful, though it can certainly play to racial stereotypes if not outright racism. I realize that's not your intent, but it raises a number of interesting questions about how we see something and how viewers may. In any case, great image - and four is very nice as well with it's frozen guy and dining companions in motion.clap.gif

Thanks for looking and thanks for the comments!

Glad you like shot #4, but trust me, there was not much skill involved. I stopped into a pub for some lunch. The pub's regular bartender was teaching one of the servers how to make some basic drinks. The bartender would make a drink then the server would make the same drink. Since I was the only patron sitting at the bar, after they made the drinks they slid them down to me. So by the time I noticed the mirror with the group behind me, which was after margaritas and cosmopolitans, my camera operating skills were in rapid decline.

Thankfully my phone rang mid way through the first Long Island Iced Tea and I had to leave to meet some friends.
