Here are some of my pics from the Acadia 2009 Shootout. It will take weeks to process the keepers so I started with just a few to post now.

I arrived a few days early for a pre-shootout and eventually met new and familiar Smugmug faces as the first day of the shootout arrived.

The weather changed from day-to-day and hour-by hour during my whole stay in Acadia. I had a great time and can't wait for the next Shootout in Yellowstone.

1. Cadillac Mountain Sunrise - The fog lifted for about 15 minutes to get this image and then returned to pea-soup conditions.

Fred, great job! I can see a definite (huge!) difference in your shots from the first Wild Utah workshop those years ago

#1 does it for me. Talk about great timing, light, and location.

Thanks Chris. Funny you should mention dust bunnies. I took my work lunchbreak and went to the Apple Store today. I pulled up my Smugmug gallery on a 30" monitor and found a missed dust bunny looking right at me on the pic#3 from this thread.
I'm trying to talk myself in to a monitor upgrade.:D

Thanks Ron. #3 was one of my last shots during the Shootout on Sunday morning. Almost like a going away gift to me from Acadia.:D

Thanks David and Dadwtwins. That pic was taken on last Saturday's Whale watching cruise about 20 miles off Acadia. Saw no whales, but a nice lighthouse pic anyway.

I Enjoyed shooting and chatting with you at the shootout, especially during the whale-less cruise.

I really like #1. I see you are one of the genius's that stayed at the top despite the fog. You were well rewarded. My other favorite is #3. That sidelighting really captured what we saw that morning.

I still haven't decided yet where I want to go next year. For now I'm keeping my options open.

Excellent series, Fred--I especially like #3 but they are all very well done. You got some great light. I enjoyed meeting you at the Shootout!
