I got this fellow while I visited Gettysburg National Battlefield Park in Pennsylvania while returning home from Shootout 09. He was too young to know that he isn't suppose to let humans get as close as I did.

Comments and suggestions are always welcomed.

Click on the image for EXIF data (both were taken handheld with a Canon 600mm lens).

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"

I don't think I'd have a good shot of a RTH if it wasn't for the young ones. No way are you ever gonna sneak up on one!

    Good captures, Dixie.:D

Thanks. It wasn't easy. It doesn't take long for the arm muscles to start cramping. I was driving when I saw him and I jumped out of the truck and just started following him. Before I realized it, I was further from the truck then it was too late to go back without losing capture possibilities.

I agree, but as you well know, we take what we can when it comes to shots. Thanks for taking the time to comment.

Thanks, Maestro. It is actually the top of a statue at Gettysburg. I framed it so you couldn't tell it was a statue. It is actually made of pour concrete from what I could tell.
