Took my 24mm down town the other day to see if I could get a shot of a side street that they'd allowed young people to paint...... the street is narrow and no matter where I stood I couldn't get it all in :dunno ohhhh well.

Enjoy........ Skippy (Australia)

Usually there are quite a few people down that street, but not the day I was there for some reason and it's right in the part of town where all the young kids hang out too.......take care Andy....... Skippy (Australia)

Wow, those colors really grab you don't they. I'm always amazed by these murals. Such talent to make something like this with cans of spray paint.

yes, it is lovely, gorgeous colours, see if you can make a pano of it next time, it'd make a great wallpaper or just really big print. Anyhow, I agree someone passing by would look good, with some motion blur, especially because you'd take advantege of the " Angel " word on the wall imo.

My understanding was it was done by a group of very young Grafitti Artists, in an effort to put their talent to better use than vandalism....I may have this wrong but I have heard this story from quite a few people.

They did a very nice job......the colors are really good, I did enhance them a bit in PSE3 :D Skippy (Australia)

Lots of people go down that street just to look at the Art on the Wall, not sure that you could do a pano of it because the street is so narrow and long, couldn't get far enough away from it even using a 24mm lens.

It's very close to where I work, I'll have to go back down there again one lunch time.....thanks for looking...... Skippy (Australia)

I'd like to capture the other end of the wall its about half a street long, but the street is very narrow, and cars park on one side of it so theres not a lot of room to get away from the wall to take the shot........I used a 24mm lens, and I was struggling because of the cars, the power pole and the bins in that street.

I will have to go back and try again when the weather picks up, usually there are lots of young folks around, its very close to a Surf Shop, but on this particular day there hardly anyone around....... Skippy (Australia)

Now if someone would remove the power pole, and bins from the left hand side of the street, and the parking meters and the parked cars from the right hand side of the street, I might be able to get a better shot rolleyes1.gif

I'm gonna have another go at this street when the weather picks up and I get a chance to be there when the sun is in the right spot.

    Take Care Gus........... Skippy (Australia)

I am really enjoying the 24mm, it will get well used while I am away that's for sure, it performs very well, and is lovely and sharp.
