Beauty Portraits: SiSi @ Old Fire Station (Made In Thailand Boot Camp Session 2)

This is second series from my Made In Thailand Boot Camp held on early September 2009.

Immediately after Zia's shoot the night before, we engage the super sexy SiSi (again) to be our model in this session. Done in the morning at an old fire station here in Bangkok. I have decided to use a warm tone on SiSi because of her bubbly and joyful character, which makes her a warm person to be with.

SiSi was pretty shy when met up with participants but got accustomed to them very quickly. The whole session was very fruitful.

Comments are welcomed but kindly keep it constructive and well-mannered.

Equipment Used:

- Nikon D90
- Tokina AT-X Pro 124 12-24mm f/4
- AF-S Nikkor 50mm f/1.4G
- Nikon Speedlight SB-900
- Nikon Speedlight SB-800
- Light Stand x 2
- Shoot-through umbrella

Total: 20 images

Hello, I am a big fan of your postings... 11 rocks! and so does 18... they are amazing, love her wardrobe.........but something about this model's eyes really bugs me, yes gentlemen she has eyes! Does she wear some type of odd contact lens? Her eyes look like she ordered the Heather Locklear look alike eyes , they just don't fit her. They seem too large for her face. And in some she looks more like a mannequinn due to the combo of her eyes and the heavy skin smoothing. I know I have complemented you on a past photo for the mannequinn look, but here it is a strange look.
Your model's make up etc is out of your control, the photos are lovely other than the odd eyes. I think that is why I love some pf the full body shots, but not the close ups. Thanks for posting, I always enjoy your photos.

I think the first nine shots look like they were shot too hot. That combined with too much skin smoothing makes the model look like a porcelain doll with human eyes. It's not working for me.

The stairwell and door shots are masterful though, very well done. thumb.gif

I also really like the feel of #7 quite a bit but agree with the others that the first bunch (including #7) are a bit too hot and too smooth. It's THIS close to being spectacular... which I know you're capable of!

For the record, the kissy face in #20 is really not doing it for me... there's a lot of awkward things happening in that one.

    Thanks for sharing!

Amazing photos!! Model is gorgeous.. sexy, but tasteful and not tacky. Lighting is amazing, and you really captured the 'warmth' that you mentioned. My ONLY criticism is her colored contacts, and that you can see the dark circle of her 'real' iris around the perimeter of the contact lens.. rather distracting IMO

Numbers 7, 12, 15 and 18 are my favorites, but all of them are beautiful! Excellent work, Zeckson! thumb.gifthumb.gif

    I like the staircase series/dress/lighting, esp. 11, 12 and 16.
I also appreciate the angle and the mood of 19.
