Picnik not working?

I haven't seen any complaints about this, but I (and another Smug friend) have not been able to get photos to load into Picnik to edit today. Picnik opens up & it appears that the photo will open, but it never does. I'm using FF 3.5.3 . I don't know what browser my friend uses. I haven't tried to edit any files w/ Picnik til today, so I don't know if it was working recently.

Incidentally, does anyone know if Picnik still cuts file sizes down? I'd been hesitant to use it much when I realized it trims 1000 or more pixels off my file sizes, but I realize this could change if Flash changes.

We'll check it out, it most probably a side effect of our release last night.

Depending on the size of your original image, the file that picnik outputs is a smaller resolution...but that is a flash limitation rather than them doing it on purpose.

It's been working for me, and Picnik warns you if it reduces the resolution on a particular photo.

Hmm. I've never seen a warning from Picnik. The only way I found out was when I happened to click on my "i" for "info" on a photo that I'd edited, and then asked about it here in the forums. The only thing I've seen on Picnik was something asking if I wanted to save an original. And yes, I was aware it was due to Flash, but again only because someone here told me. I also figure though that Flash will change/upgrade at some point, esp. since file sizes seem to only get bigger & bigger. I wish I'd know ahead though if they increase it, because I'd be more likely to use Picnik then.
