    I prefer the first. In the second, the whitish background is too bright/glaring to want to keep looking at the photo.

    It's a cool capture.

    The first one for me...The 2nd looks a little like his time is up, and he is walking into the light.

    I vote for the first as well. The second looks blown out. You may want to consider cropping just below the elbows to.
