I went with my photoclub on a field trip today. One of the places we went was the lighthouse in Marble Head Ohio.

While we were there I took a few IR shots I thought I would share.

Here is the lighthouse.

One weekend a month they let people climb the step and check out the veiw.

There is a house, where the light keeper use to live before it all became automated.

Thanks for looking.

Love the second and third shot. While not top on my wish list, an IR body or modified P&S is pretty desirable to me.

Back when I shot 35mm (a long time ago), I would shoot a roll or two every so often. Never anything as nice as yours or Andy's though.

I knew, of course, that trees and plants had roots, stems, bark, branches and foliage that reached up toward the light. But I was coming to realize that the real magician was light itself.

Thx for the compliment, but I dont think mine compare to Andy's. The lighthouse is crooked in the second one, but it aint bad for handholding when you cant see through the veiwfinder.

It's surprises how Lighthouses come in so many shapes sizes, and colors.
There are two Lighthouses, close to where I live both are on points and can be seen from each other.

Here's a link to the Live Cams at the Light house near me, however it is now 7.10pm and it's dark outside....the cams run 24hrs a day.

In the day time you can see peopel walking along the beach and also the big ships navigating the RIP.

I haven't tried an IR shots that I recall of the lighthouses, but after viewing yours I must get out and do that when this weather brightens up a bit.
