When I set my theme in a gallery, it sets all of the galleries to the same theme. What can I do to prevent that?

In-gallery theme button will only change it for that gallery. Control panel>Customize>Theme button is for your whole site.

Where are you changing the style?

If you are changing it in the gallery customization window, it will change just that gallery.

If you are changing it with the syle button in the gallery, the style you choose will be used for all galleries with a viewer-controlled style until you change it again.

That means that you are changing it with the style button on the (displayed) gallery, not on the "customize gallery" screen. As I noted above, changing the display style on that screen changes the style for that gallery and all that you view after that.

If you want a gallery to always be shown in a specific style, you need to specify that on the "customize gallery" screen. If you want a change you make to one gallery to be used only for that gallery, it must be made on the "customize gallery screen".

Both changes are shown in the help pages that I referenced in my last post.
